Baby Gem Boxwood, Buxus microphylla var. japonica 'Gregem', is a broadleaf evergreen. Use a few as edging plants, or plant one in your perennial bed for some definition. You can even use these in containers for your patio or front porch. They’re small enough, and hardy enough, to work in many locations in your yard. Baby Gem Boxwood will grow up to 3 feet in height with an equal spread. It has a compact, rounded form and is both heat and drought tolerant. Baby Gem Boxwood is generally a low-maintenance shrub so won’t require much care from you. It can be left to grow naturally beautiful, or trimmed to fit your needs…including being amenable to topiary designs.
