Daisy Gardenia is a wonderful dwarf form of gardenia. It has a low mounded shape with lush dark green foliage. Daisy is one of the most cold hardy forms of gardenia and performs well in zones 7a and 7b with little or no winter injury. Daisy Gardenia produces an abundance of single white fragrant flowers in the end of May or first of June. It prefers growing in a location that provides full sun or morning sun with afternoon shade and grows best when planted in sand, loam or clay soil that is well drained or moderately drained. It attracts visual attention and is resistant to deer, diseases, mildew and heat. Great for use in mass plantings, foundation plantings low flowering hedges or in large patio containers.
