Fruitlands Fragrant Tea Olive

Fruitland's Tea Olive. This species is actually a cross between Osmanthus heterophyllus and O. fragransand was introduced from Japan in 1856.

It makes a truly handsome shrub which can mature at 15-20' in height with an equal spread, but it can easily be kept much smaller with some judicious pruning. Fruitland's tea olive Has dense growth in an oval-rounded form. Cream Colored, highly fragrant flowers last for several weeks from October to December. Great for use as a specimen plant, evergreen privacy hedge, and mass plantings. Plant close to your house or patio to enjoy the extremely aromatic scent this plant puts off when in bloom
