Camellia 'Crimson Candles' is a vigorous, winter-to-spring-blooming evergreen hybrid introduced in 1995. It gets its name from deep red, elongated flower buds that resemble upright candles before opening into bright rose-pink, single-to-semi-double flowers. Great for use as a Flowering evergreen hedge, mass planting, Accent plant, as a specimen plant, or in large container gardening.

Blooms: Small (2.5 to 3 inches wide), bright rose-red to pink single flowers.

Size: Reaches about 8 to 12 feet tall and 5 to 8 feet wide with an upright, dense growth habit.

Foliage: Glossy, dark green leaves with bronze-red new growth.
